I am Indian. Dot, not feather. Both my parents are from Punjab, India and immigrated to the USA in the 70’s. I caught the travel bug at a very early age, when my parents would take trips, every 2-3 years, to India to reacquaint with their families. I was even sent to India, alone at the tender age of 12, for 8 weeks, which was a huge liberation and fed my need for independence and travel. Growing up, I felt caught between my Indian and USA heritage. I wanted to understand what it really meant to be bi-cultural. So I spent my 20’s moving about the USA to get a good idea of how diverse the US is.
I have lived in Minneapolis, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, Telluride, Breckenridge, Denver, and Detroit.
I visited 40 of 50 states; Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
I have driven across the USA several times, my favorite being from Denver, down through Moab, and over to Joshua Tree, Zion, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and taking the PCH all the way to San Francisco.
I have lived in the Netherlands and France.
And I have visited Canada, Baja S. California, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, Honduras, Cuba, Australia, New Zealand, the Bahamas, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Oman, UAE, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, and Turkey.
